Week 8 Part B: Your Instagram Hashtag Use

During this week I posted 3 new posts on my Instagram page. The three photos are showing a kpop inspired outfit that I put together.  The hashtags that I chose to use include...”#kstyle, #kfashion, #kpopstyle, #kpopfashion, #kpoppage and my page #moskpoppage. I tried not to overload my caption with hashtags because I researched that hashtag overuse can look a bit spam like. So I chose to use the most relevant, I also added a more select hashtag of #blackkpopfan. I found these hashtags by researching some k style Instagram pages like YesStyle and some other native Korean clothing brand pages.  I posted 2 post on one day one in the early afternoon and one in the evening. The evening one was able to get more likes right away.  The last photo I posted was on March 25 around 10am and it’s doing pretty well reaching my followers based off likes.  I think it’s great to keep track of these analytics when trying to build an Instagram page. The Instagram analytic information is important to me

Week 8 Part A: How to Expand Your Reach on Instagram by Using Hashtags

This week is about researching reach and visuals through social media and business. For my business as a Kpop social media influencer visuals are a must. I am also the face of my business and I advertise for stores and brands so good visual post and content are very important to reach and connect with others.  The four businesses I am going to look at that are in my general area of business are: 1. YesStyle 2. Innisfree (USA) 3. K-Place 4. Kpop Station YesStyle First, YesStyle is a worldwide K-Beauty & Fashion and Instagram is definitely an effective platform it appears for the clothing shop. I believe they only sell online and they have an interesting instagram media strategy because they do not always use hashtags on their posts. On some of their post they hashtag things like, “ #YesStyle, #YesStyler, #ootd, #koreanfashion, and #kbeauty.” YesStyle often switches up the hashtags as well.  YesStyle has 1.3 million followers on Instagram and it looks like they post 3-5 times a day

Week 7 Part B: How Businesses Use Instagram

This week I visited and engaged/commented on the instagram pages of: https://www.instagram.com/flowersannettegomez/?hl=en https://www.instagram.com/socalsurplusewaste/ https://www.instagram.com/flahertyscarpelli/ For this assignment I looked at a couple local businesses, there wasn't a lot of kpop type of stores in San Diego County but I found one called Kpop Fancy. I would consider this store a small kpop business and it appears that they don't use instagram in a really organized way. There is several hundred pictures of the kpop items they have, but there isn't a specific organization, style or appearance that's used on the page.  *Kpop Fancy https://www.instagram.com/kpopfancysd/?hl=en The next business I looked at is not a kpop store, but it's a boba tea shop that often plays kpop music and it's a local business that I thought had a nice instagram aesthetic. It's called Tea Amo and I like that they have less items in each picture and they provide nice/c

Week 7 Part A: Get Visual with Instagram - Let a Picture Tell the Story

This is an exciting week of research because the goal is to develop my instagram page! The instagram platform is currently my top utilized social media platform. I find Instagram currently as the most convenient and intuitive platform to navigate. I also like the easy access for posting pictures, videos, and starting ads. I find it easier to connect and communicate publicly with people all over the world. I also believe that instagram allows me to access more of my creative side than other platforms.  My current follower count is a little bit over 2,420 followers and my next goal is 3,000. Instagram is so far the most effective for my business of kpop fashion/merch influencing and advertising. I try to post about 5-7 times a week including sometimes a couple posts in one day.  The hashtags I use are 90% involving kpop bands/artist (for the merch), kpop fashion and kpop style/ cosmetics. I follow a number of independent small business kpop stores, several kpop merch/record stores, a cos

Week 6 Part B: Creating and Scheduling FaceBook Posts (Scheduled Posts)

My scheduled Facebook posts! *I choose these 3 posts because this previous week I have been posting kpop idol inspired outfits for this band named ATEEZ over Instagram. The theme is red plaid punk, and these outfits came from a performance they did last year. I think these outfits should engage my followers because they are all based off the same theme and consistent styles. They are all related to this band and performance as well. So you can create an outfit from ANY of the members for yourself:)

Week 6 Part A: Engaging Your Customers - FaceBook Strategy

Hello! So for this week, researching and engaging customers is the area that is going to be studied. Facebook is the platform that will be used. After thinking about the development of a facebook strategy I found it tough for businesses that use another platform as their main. For me instagram is my biggest platform and I'm able to connect with a lot more kpop brands/stores and kpop fans on there. I couldn't find any businesses on Facebook that I could make "strategic connections." I don't have any following on Facebook yet, but I did like up to 10 Kpop companies/channels/business from music to k cosmetics. I also checked Facebook for kpop stores and clubs in San Diego and their was one kpop store which I reached out to already and it was unsuccessful for reasons unknown. I liked the Nature Republic main page which has millions of followers, and has satellite stores all over the country. I have currently connected with a satellite Nature Republic store for instagr
